Google desktop for Linux

Google desktop is available for Linux :

http://desktop.google.com/fr/linux/download.html

I will give it a try, but I think that I won’t leave Beagle. The main reasons would be that it is not open source and that the data is saved remotely by Google. Even if I have nothing to hide, I don’t want to share such info.
